I'm Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack! :)

Firstly, my thanks to my friends, readers and fellow "Curvy girls" for their support and kind wishes over the last 2 weeks. For those who don't know, I married the love of my life on May 20, 2012. It was a small, intimate wedding with just close family, a few long time friends and our children. I couldn't be happier! So please indulge me as i post a couple photos of the day....

We went down too Niagara on the Lake/Niagara Falls, Ontario for our brief but well needed honeymoon vacation. The time away was wonderful and we got to do all the things tourists do.
The weather was gorgeous and i hate to go back to work this week!!!

Speaking of which....i will be diving into the world of small, online business very shortly and need some opinions. I will be starting up a web based, plus size clothing and accessories store. In the next few weeks i will be compiling items for inventory and would like your input. What items do you have trouble buying locally? What would you purchase online? Do you purchase online clothing or accessories?

All ideas and comments are appreciated as i am looking to build this business to serve curvy women everywhere! The idea is to have accessible, plus size, budget friendly items that we ladies would be proud to wear! So email me or comment and let me know what your thoughts are!

I am still looking for ideas to write about. If you have something to share or an idea that I and the rest of us curvy ladies out there need to know about, drop me a line at curvesrfab@gmail.com
Until next time....

When did size become more important.......

.....than the person in the clothing?

I am amazed that in this day and age society still has the where with all to judge anyone; male or female by the size of clothing they wear. When did a size 4 mean that you are more worthy than a size 16? When did bra or panty size mean that you are either sexy or disgusting? Who makes up these demoralizing rules? Oh yeh...we do.....Sad isn't it?

Many of us rant and rave about the mistreatment of plus size people in our society but who actually does anything about it? Change in perception starts with you....How? Good question.
Next time you here a disparaging remark about a larger body type...speak up! Next time you hear your son or daughter joking about a "fat" person or school mate...speak up! Next time you hear your child or friend speaking ill of themselves because they are a larger body type....speak up!

Silence and ignorance go hand in hand. Action solves many problems and a kind word or a few sentences of support can make or break someone's self esteem. We owe it to ourselves and the younger generation to make a point of letting them know that intolerance and judgment is unacceptable...at any age...size or for any sex.

Remember what we say or don't say can be the beginning of anothers' demise. As humans we should go out of our way to build one another up...not tear each other down. I don't care how long media or society has told mistruths about what a woman's or man's self worth is. You know the truth...be bold enough to say it. It can and does make a difference!

I am still looking for ideas to write about. If you have something to share or an idea that I and the rest of us curvy ladies out there need to know about, drop me a line at curvesrfab@gmail.com

Until next time....
